Lithographic Coiling Dragon, Jumping Carp, and Fly

This is the first formal ordinary postage stamps issued by the Imperial National Postal Administration. They use Silver Dollar(s), Jiao(s) and Cent(s) as denomination unit. Three major figures are engraved in the center of stamps designed and drawn by R.A. de Villard, that are Coiling Dragon, which is the symbol of Imperial Ching Dynasty, Jumping Carp represents containing in the letter, and Flying Goose represents carrying the mail, both are symbols of postal delivering. Total set is consisting of 12 pieces with denominations and printed by Tokyo Tsukiji Type Foundry, Japan. All are issued at October 1, 1897 (the 6th day of the 9th month of the 23rd year of Emperor Kuang Hsu).
